The Secret Service plans to fire at least three more agents. That according to FOX News reports on Friday.
Based on that reporting, a total of six agents will have lost their jobs related to the prostitution scandal that's embroiled the agency over the past week. That's when news of the Secret Service agents being sent home for inappropriate conduct first hit the news wires. The story has since grown in detail, involving an unspecified number of agents and as many as 20 Colombian women.
The agents were there in advance of President Obama's arrival for an international trade summit. A 24-year-old Colombian prostitute told The New York Times that one of the agents agreed to pay her $800 for a night of sex but the next morning offered her only $30. The disagreement over the financial arrangement led to an argument.
Eleven agents have been implicated in the incident. Of the six ousted, one was allowed to retire in the wake of the scandal. The rest are on paid administrative leave while the incident is being investigated.
