| CBO Reports 70% Surge in Food Stamp Recipients |

The president early this week said people are beginning to see the change he promised during his 2008 campaign. Unfortunately for the population now living under the Obama administration, the number of Food Stamp recipients since 2007 has surged to some 45 million in 2011.
The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office released the devastating news, showing that as a result of a sputtering economy and the 2009 stimulus package, the number of Food Stamp recipients soared 70% since 2007 and will continue to grow until 2014.
According to the Wall Street Journal, spending for the program, less administrative costs, rose to $72 billion last year, up from $30 billion four years earlier. The CBO projected that one in seven U.S. residents received food stamps in 2011.
