A firm overseen by one of the President's trade advisers, Matthew Rubel, announces it is shipping nearly 150 jobs, including a number of high-tech positions, overseas. The news is producing a black eye for the administration after, just last week, the President seemed stunned to hear that a woman's semi-conductor engineer husband couldn't find a job.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune is reporting that an Indian firm will absorb the 149 jobs to assist IT workers in Guadalajara, Mexico and Bangalore, India.
The news comes at time when Obama re-election supporters are criticizing Republican Mitt Romney for exporting jobs while he was at the helm of Bain Capital.
The question now is, will the President continue to play dumb as his supporters enact and engage in policy decisions that undermine the U.S. worker as he seeks re-election?
