| Poll Finds Overwhelming Support For Voter ID Requirement |

Much to the dismay of the left, a new Washington Post poll finds that an overwhelming majority of Americans favor voter ID laws.
Infact, the poll results released yesterday show that when asked;
"In your view, should voters in the United States be required to show official, government-issued photo identification -- such as a driver's license -- when they cast ballots on Election Day, or shouldn't they have to do this?"
74% of adult respondents said a government issued photo ID should be required.
Amazingly, some on the left are still touting voter ID laws as a means of discrimination, and that when people respond to polls like that of the WP, they don't fully understand the question.
Those assertions are not only insulting to Americans, but they are an attempt to play on emotions rather than logic.
How many times a month are you asked for ID? Whether it be to buy pack of cigarettes, an alcoholic beverage, or access the building you work in. Security is an everyday factor in our lives. So why would it not be logical that we protect the integrity of our electoral process with the same safeguards that we protect ourselves every day.
