Tuesday Primary Races Will Push Romney Beyond Halfway Point to Finishline

Tuesday Primary Races Will Push Romney Beyond Halfway Point to Finishline The Republican primary contests Tuesday in Wisconsin, Maryland and the District of Columbia -- which Romney could feasibly sweep -- will give Romney enough delegates to cross the halfway point toward the 1,144 needed to clinch the nomination.

Many in the media say that a prolonged race between Romney and his nearest challenger Rick Santorum will hurt the Republican brand. But those pundits are forgetting the race between Clinton and Obama was much closer at this stage.
