America's Transformation Under Obama
Where are we right now? Let's look back at the past six months: We've talked about how 60 percent of the American electorate now receives more from the federal government than they pay in taxes.
We've talked about how you can "earn" more than $40,000 in New York for doing absolutely nothing. No work, who cares? We'll pay you in food stamps and unemployment and welfare and housing assistance and even tax credits, whether you want a job or not. And that's true in varying degrees all across the country. Gone is the hard day's work, what made America possible.
We've talked about how Obama has appointed at least 34 unelected czars that answer to nobody except the White House. And under that heading we've talked about the new militant Green Jobs czar who says that he doesn't care what the facts look like. Let's not let a little thing like facts get in the way, especially at a time when we can't let a good crisis go to waste, like Rahm Emanuel says.
We've talked about how Congress passed The GIVE Act to expand service in this country, the first step towards Rahm Emanuel's vision of compulsory service in this country. In his book "The Plan: Big Ideas for America," Emanuel calls for compulsory service for all Americans ages 18 to 25. Here's an excerpt is from pages 61-62 of his 2006 book: "It's time for a real Patriot Act that brings out the patriot in all of us. We propose universal civilian service for every young American. Under this plan, All Americans between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service."
We've talked about how we're watching our government murder of free speech, and we're watching the murder of opposing viewpoints. We're watching a group of left-wing politicians and bureaucrats talk openly about trampling on your Second Amendment rights.
And this is why we have to remind ourselves that we need to stand up and be heard, because the other side is not sitting by meekly. We heard Obama say this in Missouri in October 2008, and he means it: "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming America."
So you want to see your America fundamentally transformed? I know I don't. Now's the time to make your voice heard. I'm listening.
